Robert Marin is a proud Bedfordian and first started playing bass guitar in a funk band called ‘The Collective’ (the band can be heard on the Rima cover version of Vidigal). He then began recording as a bass player for artists such as Sonar Circle, Vaceo, Rima and Domu. The more time Robert Marin spent in the studio the more fascinated he became in learning music production, Domu took him under his wing and treated Marin like his padawan (and who could ask for a better Jedi master than Mr Stanton!) As he became more confident in production and song writing the Bakura project was born, this grew from strength to strength releasing 12″ singles on Especial Records and a subsequent album release entitled ‘Reach the Sky’. Since the album Marin has been busy in the studio discovering his own sound and musical vision with this EP being his first solo release.
